SELF BUILD AND CUSTOM BUILD HOUSING IN Kings Somborne

Moonriver Limited, assisted by BJC Planning, is seeked to persuade the Borough Council to allocate land at Spencers Farm, Kings Somborne for self build and custom build housing.  It is proposed to layout the site as plots for sale for people wanting to design their own homes. 

Most people are familiar with the concept of Self Build.  Self build is a very demanding.  The purchaser has to manage the project which can be very daunting.  There is an alternative called Custom Build which is similar to Self Build but Custom Build Housing is a much simpler means for creating your dream home.  It significantly reduces the pressure and concerns that a Self Build project can create and it usually takes a shorter time. Plots could be offered at Kings Somborne for both forms of development. 

There is strong government support and both forms are enshrined in Self Build and Custom Build Act of 2015 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016.
